Jennifer Cave, CPM, CDM
Jennifer Cave, CDM, CPM graduated from National College of Midwifery and Newlife International School of Midwifery. After living and practicing in the Philippines, she moved back to her home state of Alaska serving the women in the Mat-Su Valley for 10 years before moving to Soldotna. She started The Nesting Place Birth Center in February of 2020.
She continues her love of International Midwifery and has attended births in the Philippines, Haiti and Thailand. A mom of 8 children, her own birth experiences helped shape her love of midwifery and her strong belief of mothers having a choice in their care during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Even though she has been a part of nearly 1000 deliveries, she never tires of seeing the moment when a woman welcomes her new little one earth-side. She feels honored and privileged to serve the women and families on the Kenai Peninsula and throughout Alaska.

Farrah Collver
Farrah recently graduated from National Midwifery Institute. She was born in Soldotna into the hands of a bush pilot doctor and has deep roots in our community. Her passion for supporting families during pregnancy and birth grew with each of her own midwife attended births as their encouraging words at such an impressionable time stayed with her through her parenting journey. Farrah spent a decade in the world of health and wellness teaching families how to naturally care for themselves from the inside out, served on the board of MamaBaby Haiti, a non profit organization that trains midwives and provides free prenatal, birth, and postpartum care in the most impoverished country in the western hemisphere, and above considers being mom to her three kids her greatest role

Chelsea Campbell
Chelsea trained at a large midwifery practice in the West Houston, TX suburbs. In 2016, after the birth of her first child at home, she joined the practice and enjoyed offering individualized care to each family she served. In 2021, her family relocated to the Kenai Peninsula. Since then, she has offered home birth midwifery care and is excited to join the Nesting Place team to offer the option of birth center as well. When she is not caring for mothers and babies, she can be found homeschooling her children or reading a book.
Front Desk/Birth Assist
Emma Bercherer
Emma is the gentle soul who greets you at the front desk of the birth center, offering a warm smile and a calming presence from the moment you walk in. As a certified birth assistant, she brings both skill and heart to every birth she supports, quietly tuning into the needs of each family with care and compassion. Though naturally shy, Emma's sweet and grounded energy shines through in her work - she's always happy to help, whether it's answering questions, offering comfort, or simply being a steady presence during an emotional moment. Outside of the birth center, Emma finds peace and joy in the great outdoors, often spending her free time hiking, exploring nature, or simply enjoying the fresh air and quest beauty around her.

Jenna Barlow
Jenna will tell you she hates her picture taken and she definitely doesn't want to talk about herself on a website! She will also tell you that speaking to mom's exploring Out of Hospital Birth for the first time is an absolute love and passion of hers. She loves those initial phone calls asking about midwifery and the birth center!
She's the lady who will make sure all your paperwork is in order and who you talk to if you need anything on the administration side. Maybe one day we will get an actual picture up of her, but in the meantime, enjoy the stock image. :).
